Most of the necessary information to support the decision making process within a company are derived, as well as ERP, from different back-office applications and various data repositories of various types, whether structured (systems ERP, CRM, RIS, ...) and unstructured (text files, spreadsheets, ...).
This consideration leads to the need to adopt a strategy of data integration which involves the creation of a central repository or data warehouse, which convey information from various structured source for analysis.
This process of data integration is a very important process that must be monitored and managed in every aspect. The careful management of this process leads to an informed decision to certify the data base that underpins all types of data analysis enabled from the XBI, in terms of integrity, consistency and adherence to the reality of the company.
This process is called ECTL (extract, clean, transform and load), which are delegated tothe mapping, cleaning and transfer of basic data in the physical databases of the data warehouse.
The power flow management of the Data Warehouse is a complex process often and oneof the main problems in the definition of responsibilities between the business and theICT department.
Analitica has developed an advanced system for managing and monitoring the flow of data loading through the process of data integration that has integrated into the engine PMI Server and called Xtractor.

Xtractor can be run manually, which schedule the load flows directly from the portalthrough a user-friendly interface. In this perspective, the launch of the load flows no longer requires the involvement of only IT extraction figures with specific skills and depth of back-end tools, but the execution can also be referred to those figures that do not have a thorough knowledge of IT processes.
Load flows are supported by Stored Procedures or projects such as Integration Services of the Microsoft SQL Server technology.

In this way, instead of the n flows individually run forcing a manual workflow, you can start or schedule a single system fueling systems, which autonomously takes care of run according to the defined workflow all flows load in it.
This allows both to monitor that addressing errors generated during the execution of loadflows, as well as perform some scheduled maintenance data, such as the allocation ofaggregation of profit and loss account to the new accounts moved within a process of creating a multidimensional model of profit and loss account. The definition of tables and fields viewed and modified during the process of ECTL occurs within the administration module that allows you to manage even the logic of protection.
Finally, the monitor module allows you to monitor and control every aspect the process ofECTL through a simplified interface for business users.

Through the monitor, if errors were generated in the loading of data into a stream, youhave to jump out directly on the server to automatically generate detailed reports that motivates the individual causes that led to individual errors. This allows us to understand what caused the incorrect loading and possibly act directlyon the data through the module loader to reconcile the problem.
The technology
Xtractor is developed in Microsoft. net and exploits the potential of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 through the Integration Services of the management of power flows of theData Warehouse and OLAP cubes.
Xtractor could also be purchased stand-alone in web version to manage the processes of BPM regardless of Analitica.
Xtractor supports decision makers in all operations by offering a flexible and dynamic support!
The brand new Analitica 4.0 has the ability to manage Control Process in a very easy way!
